Amerex autoclaves incorporate a built-in steam generator that plugs into a standard outlet (120V or 220V) and the water for steam generation is poured directly into the chamber, thereby eliminating costly set-up charges. After sterilization, steam is vented automatically into a plastic bottle in front of the autoclave. A warming cycle keeps sterilized agar from solidifying and also can be used for melting sterilized agar.
